Dr. Jeanette MacLean presents SDF and SMART at the Pacific Dental Conference

The Pacific Dental Conference is one of the largest dental conferences in North America, and this year SDF was all the buzz. On March 8th and 9th, 2018, Dr. Jeanette MacLean presented Silver is the New Black; Improving Your Practice with Silver Diamine Fluoride to sold out audiences in Vancouver, BC.

It is exciting to see the level of interest for these minimally invasive treatment options in Canada. While Canadians enjoy some of the best access to oral health care in the world, they still struggle with the elderly, low SES, refugees, indigenous, special needs, and children. SDF and SMART have tremendous public health potential to improve access to care for these vulnerable populations.
